This home is in Deakin, one of Canberra's loveliest suburbs in the inner south. Close to Embassies, Parliament House, Canberra Hospital, Doubleshot Cafe and city centre. The bus stops right outside the home. IGA and fuel station up the street. Off-street free parking. A King, Queen and 2 single beds spanning three bedrooms, this home is ideal for a family or small group looking to conveniently explore Canberra and surrounds. The home is of older, more traditional style, lots of original features and is pet-friendly.
Guests have exclusive use of the whole property.
Other things to note about the house:
- there are a few steps up to the front door.
- the shower is over the bath.
- the backyard is enclosed and fully fenced, including the carport which has a gate that can shut. The ground is tarmac, tiles and concrete (no grass). The backyard is accessed from the back door, the carport gate and a back gate.
- the frontyard has space for an extra car, has grass in one section and is not enclosed.
- you are most welcome to use the fireplace, please supply your own wood/kindling. There is a service station at the end of the street that sells it for $18 a bag.
- If you are staying on a Thursday night, we may ask you to pull the outdoor bins to the roadside for Friday morning weekly collection.
- There will be a Refundable Security Deposit held ($300). This isn't a double charge, but a security hold. The hold will take place at the time of booking but will appear on your transactions two days before checkout. It is released two days after checkout.
