The Guest House at Far Niente is a recently built, architect-designed modernist classic, positioned to enjoy some of the most outstanding views in the Valley. Just 10 minutes from the centre of the village, some 15 to the nearest wedding venue, and a thousand miles from care!
The property comprises 2 Queen bedrooms, each with an ensuite, and a fully furnished living, dining and kitchen room with everything you need to cook basic meals. A Smart TV provides access to broadcast & streaming services, while the Bose soundbar delivers HiFi audio streamed from your phone. The large wraparound hardwood deck houses a table, chairs, fire pit and BBQ to maximise enjoyment of your stay. Enjoy a cocktail watching the sun go down over the golden escarpment, secure in the knowledge that the reverse cycle air conditioning and under-floor heating will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
The home is set on 5 acres of rolling pasture, with a resident wombat, dam and outdoor sculptures. Locally, take a bracing hike, or walk down the hill to the river for a summer swim. Kayaks are available for hire nearby (organised tours can be arranged) or take a trip to the local Yarawa Winery a few kilometres up the river for a tasting.
Please note that this home is not suitable for children, but we are happy to welcome babies. The owners do from time to time occupy the house next door. Please do ask us when booking.
