Located in the peaceful Adelaide Hills, this 4 bedroom house has 2 living spaces, a large outdoor patio with alfresco dining and lovely views of Piccadilly Valley. Most rooms have reverse cycle aircon and/or ceiling fans. It’s a few minutes drive to the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens, eateries and supermarkets in Stirling. Walk to the Tapanappa Winery, with many other wineries nearby. Picturesque Hahndorf, the heritage ‘SteamRanger’ and Laratanga Wetlands are all under 20 minutes away by car.
The Space:
A pathway takes you along a stepped rockery garden up to an undercover patio with outdoor seating and peaceful views of the countryside. You’ll then enter the house into a spacious family room with tiled flooring, a large comfy L-shaped sofa, an occasional armchair with footstool, a wall-mounted Smart TV and soundbar. For year round comfort, there’s a wood-fired heater, a wall-mounted reverse-cycle aircon unit and 2 ceiling fans. From this family room you’ll move through to a large open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with polished floorboards. The kitchen has loads of bench space for food prep, a breakfast bar with 2 stools, a 4-hob induction cooktop, a Smeg under-bench oven, a family-sized side-by-side fridge/freezer and wall-mounted reverse-cycle aircon. There’s a dining table that seats 8 and a second lounge area with another sofa, chair, footstool and a bean bag. Large glass sliding doors take you out to a huge paved outdoor patio space with a covered alfresco dining table for 8 people, a ceiling fan, Weber barbecue and magnificent views of Piccadilly Valley. Just a little further along you’ll come to an outdoor lounge area with chairs that’s sheltered from wind by a curved wall that are actually the remnants of an old water tank, offering the same beautiful views.
Back inside, the house’s 4 bedrooms are accessed via a hallway off the family room and all have block-out blinds or curtains. The master bedroom is carpeted and comes with a king sized bed, TV, a walk-in wardrobe, wall-mounted reverse-cycle aircon and a large picture window offering country views. An ensuite bathroom provides a roomy shower recess and a toilet. A second carpeted bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, built-in wardrobes and picture windows with more rustic views. Another bedroom has tiled flooring, a set of bunk beds, a single bed, loads of wardrobe/drawer space and its own picture windows with views, while a fourth bedroom is carpeted and comes with a single bed and a study desk. The house’s bathroom has a shower as a well as a separate bathtub, a large mirror and heated towel rack. There’s also a dedicated laundry room with a front loader washing machine and separate dryer, both Fisher & Paykel, and a room off it with a toilet.
The Neighborhood:
The town of Crafers in the Adelaide Hills is considered an outer suburb of Adelaide, given you can drive to the city centre in under 20 minutes. The house itself is perfectly located, just 10 minutes stroll to the Brid coffee shop in one direction and a 3 minute drive in the other to The Crafers Hotel, serving delicious French-inspired cuisine. For your grocery shopping, it’s 5 minutes by car to the Woolworths and Foodland supermarkets in the quaint town of Stirling. The house is next to the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens where you can see kangaroos hopping about, and you can walk to the Tapanappa Winery/Cellar, with a great choice of other wineries close by. There's fun for the whole family at the Woodhouse Activity Centre, only a few minutes drive or a 20 minute walk away. The Cleland National Park, offering many walking and biking trails and the Cleland Wildlife park are a short drive away, while the picturesque town Hahndorf, featuring German inspired architecture, is less than 15 minutes by car. The heritage ‘SteamRanger’ railway is only a 17 minute drive, providing services to Victor Harbour via Strathalbyn and the coastal towns of Goolwa and Port Elliot. For nature lovers and bird watchers, the Laratanga Wetlands are 18 minutes’ drive.
Getting Around:
The house is best suited to guests who drive, with ample off-street parking available. Buses also service the area, with a bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house.

* Due to strict no noise no party policies in Strata buildings or local council by laws we will be enforcing the NO PARTY NO NOISE POLICY - This will mean that we will be able to force an eviction if these terms are breached. If this is he case we hold the right to hold on security deposit and booking amount for compensation for the purpose of any damage, missing keys and potential penalties from the body corporate or local government authority.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
