Positive: Absolutely brilliant villas and we would 100% recommend staying here! One thing that was particularly brilliant for us as a larger family was that when you book, you’re actually booking two separate villas together, each with two bedrooms and its own pool. This worked perfectly for us, especially with older children, as everyone had plenty of space and we never felt on top of each other. Having two pools was also a huge bonus! The location is fantastic, only around five minutes from Skopelos Port and town. I would recommend having access to a car, though, as there is quite a long, steep uphill drive from the main road to the villas. The supermarkets are only around a 3–4 minute drive away, and Fresh supermarket was our favourite and had everything we needed. As a larger family, we actually only hired one car, which worked really well for us. We mainly used it for supermarket trips and getting into town, and then for our days out we used the local buses, so this is definitely something worth considering if you’re travelling as a larger group as you don’t necessarily need to hire multiple cars. There is a bus stop right at the bottom of the drive (bus stop number 6), which was incredibly handy. The buses run approximately every half an hour and are a great and inexpensive way to visit some of the beautiful beaches around the island. Stafilos Beach is only around a five-minute drive away, or you can take the bus to stop 10 and then it’s around a five-minute walk downhill to the beach. Panormos Beach is stop 25 and took us around 20 minutes on the bus, costing €3 each. Milia Beach is stop 28 and is a short walk down to the beach from the bus stop, with the journey costing €4 each. Our favourite beaches were Stafilos and Milia. Both were absolutely beautiful and fantastic for snorkelling, with crystal-clear water and rocks to explore and jump off into the sea. The children particularly loved this and we ended up going back to both beaches during our stay.
