Welcome to The Big House! The perfect destination for friends and family to come together. The Big House is situated at Oakdene Vineyard’s second vineyard and the home of Lighthouse Olive Oil. The house is literally on the edge of the huge shiraz vineyard and has views as far as the eye can see. Views all the way to Queenscliff and the Mornington Peninsula. It has just been renovated and is now the second house at the property.
The Big House is only 10-15 minutes from all major towns on the Bellarine, such as Drysdale, Queenscliff, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. Explore the wineries, taste local produce or take in the coastal sights from stunning surf beaches to calm inlets. There is even an award-winning restaurant at the property, Merne at Lighthouse, open Thursday - Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday nights for dinner.
The house boasts 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are 4 Queen rooms and 1 with two king single beds. The entire house sleeps 10 very comfortably with room for everyone to spread out. The Master bedroom is downstairs and boasts a gorgeous ensuite with double shower and vanities. The shower even has a view! At the other side of the house, downstairs, there are 2 bedrooms that share a stunning bathroom with bath, shower and double vanities. One of these rooms is a queen the other has the two king single beds. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, both queens, one is master size and shares the large bathroom with the other room. These 2 bedrooms have the elevated, million-dollar view over the vineyard and beyond.
The kitchen is a dream, huge and perfect for entertaining with all the mod cons and stone bench tops. The dining room is open plan with the kitchen and has the view of the vineyard with room for all guests to enjoy meals and fun together. There is also a relaxing sunroom for reading and playing games and a cosy lounge with a giant Bromley coffee table, smart TV and fireplace. This house has it all.
