Positive: Very conveniently located close to Hase-tram station. Lot of cute cafes and handcrafts stores around. Also a great base to explore Kamakura's temples and shrines as many of the most important ones are very close to the accomodation. The room was comfy and had enough space to operate and the common space was clean and comfortable to use with lot of kitchen wear and even a gas top for cooking. There was two toilets and one shower room for around 5 rooms to use and it was an appropriate ammount in my mind as I never had to wait. The self check in instructions are clear, the owner comes around for maintanence and cleaning, but for check in most likely you will do it yourself. With a keypad on the outside door and number lock on bedroom door I felt safe to leave my belongings in the room. Common for a Japanese building, the sound insulation is very low, so while staying here I suggest to be mindful of other guests and neighbours and keep a lower noise level during night time. The owner was friendly. I think the accomodation is good value for money for Kamakura and recommend staying here! Kamakura is getting very popular as a tourist destination, so I suggest planning your visit during weekdays and walking around in the quiet back alleys instead of using the overcongested Enoshima tram. For a vegetarian traveller Kamakura is one of Japan's best destinations with plenty of delicious vegetarian food to offer! Lot of those places are walking distance from this accomodation!
