Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location was great. A true piece of history in Bothwell, and central. The other house guests. We bonded pretty quickly due to a series of unfortunate events.

Negative: We had booked multiple rooms, but were only given the code to one room. We were not even provided with the code to the main entrance. No staff on site, so if we did not have roaming enabled on our phone to make calls, or friendly house mates, things could have been far more stressful. When we got hold of staff, they were helpful, but it was a disappointing start. I also had to assist another couple when they arrived, as they had not been provided with any access codes at all. Facilities say there is a communal kitchen, but it is tea and coffee facilities only. There is nowhere to prepare your own food. The rooms upstairs were clean and comfortable, but the downstairs was crowded and cluttered. There was also an incident with the water tank blowing a fuse, so half the house had no hot water until the following day.

Summary: A series of events, but made for strong bonds formed with the other house mates!
