The "Mists of Avalon" is set on 7.5 acres and from your private deck you will enjoy 180 degree views across the property toward Wanganui Gorge and the Huonbrook Valley in the north east and Minyon Falls in the west. Enjoy the sounds of nature, experience the morning mists and amazing sunsets. Yet a 10 minute drive will have you at Minyon Falls bushwalking or 30 minutes drive in the opposite direction to pristine beaches, Cape Byron, cafes, restaurants, fishing spots or live music. Or you may just choose to relax on your private deck, enjoying the quietness and stillness of being in the country. Wi-Fi is great and but mobile reception can be varied depending on your carrier.
Complimentary local tea and coffee, a small “cow” milk and some surprises on your arrival.
Your pet is most welcome. Our little old girl (Miss Bessie) is sure to greet you with a bark.
We do have roaming poultry.....if you are travelling with a dog that may chase them please keep your pet on lead when outside. We have two very friendly steers in the bottom paddock that love a Pat.
There are many quiet places to sit and relax. If you don't mind a bit of bush bashing you may even enjoy a quiet walk along the creek.
We have a 1968 Mustang Convertible, complete with driver, available for hire.
Checkin time on the day you arrive is 2pm and on the day you leave a 10am departure is appreciated.
The studio setup allows for self catering. PLEASE be aware of this if you arrive late as there are no local cafes or restaurants open locally after 3pm, they are all open for lunch only.
Groceries can be purchased in Mullumbimby 20 mins away. Local framer’s markets are Thursday in Byron and Mullumbimby Friday from 7.30-11am.
Our studio is designed for a couple. We love children but it really isn’t suited for them.
