Award winning Carrie's Cottage is a purpose built, pet friendly, self contained, one bedroom cottage set on 40 acres of historic Orange Grove Farm on the banks of the Clyde River at Nelligen, NSW South Coast.
With almost a kilometre of river frontage and its own small beach, secluded picnic spots, opportunities to observe the diverse array of bird species, walking trails through nearby National Parks and state forests, it really is a special piece of paradise. Batemans Bay is only 7kms away, with surf beaches and restaurants.
Orange Grove Farm’s deed was granted in 1856, and has been home to the Casben family since 1970.
The farm has a rich history of hospitality as a tourist operation for bush dances and BBQs. The bush dances have finished but the historic barn, built in the late 1800's, is bursting with memorabilia - spend a little time in here exploring the past.
The farm is home to a variety of animals including miniature donkeys, sheep, ducks, chooks and three farm dogs.
