Newly furnished, “Cloudview” is a delightful double-storey family home in the suburb of Surf Beach, less than 2 minutes walk from the stunning Surf Beach itself (and boardwalk beach entry). With unmatched hilltop views across 270 degrees, this is the place to relax and enjoy the scenery, no matter the weather.
Less than three minutes’ drive from the Phillip Island Hot Springs (to open in 2025), near the Cape Woolamai shops, and with a coffee cart a short walk away from the beach, this house is ideally located. The drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes is also less than 10 minutes away.Some of the many features of this incredible home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the large Lounge Room (with 55" smart TV), leading to a central hall that provides access to Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with shower & double vanity), a separate toilet and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine) that also provides access to the rear yard. There is internal access to the Garage.
As you walk upstairs, you are greeted with the extraordinary wraparound views from the light-filled open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 65" smart TV). Also upstairs is Bedroom 1, with BIR and an ensuite (with shower & vanity), a separate Toilet and access to both a front and rear Deck.
Outdoor Areas
The upstairs covered front Deck (with seating for 6 people and room for more) is ideal for entertaining. In one direction it provides uninterrupted ocean views across the waves of Surf Beach and up to the Pinnacles at Cape Woolamai. In the other direction the deck faces the glistening light of Swan Bay and the rolling green hills of San Remo, providing the perfect place to watch the sun come up.
The rear covered Deck (with gas BBQ and seating for 4 people) overlooks the large rear yard (with outdoor shower) and has uninterrupted views across protected plover breeding grounds to Sunderland Bay. This is the place to enjoy the island’s spectacular glowing sunsets and maybe see some wallabies.
The Single Garage (with mini fold up table-tennis table and Clothes Dryer) also has internal access to the home and provides parking for one car. There is space in the large, wide driveway for up to 4 more vehicles (cars and/or a boat).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top. The Miele inbuilt coffee machine is difficult to use and so a Nespresso pod coffee machine with a range of Melbourne coffee roasts (and Starbucks) is available for guests instead.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room, ceiling fans in bedrooms 2 and 3, a wall mounted fan in Bedroom 1, portable electric heating in Bedrooms 2 and 3, plus another large portable electric heater in the downstairs Lounge.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Please note that if you want the Long Single beds to be converted into King beds prior to your arrival, we need at least one week's notice before checking in.
Long single mattress dimensions are approximately 91cm x 203cm and converted king bed dimensions are approximately 180cm x 203cm.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
