Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space, set on 3 acres of organic farmland. This fully renovated early 1900's, 3 bedroom home backs directly onto the Aqueduct Trail, Olinda Creek and the 8700 acres of the Dandenong Ranges National Park. Located in Mount Evelyn, just a stones throw from wineries of the Yarra Valley and the boutique mountains of the Dandenong Ranges.
The space
The Forest Farm stay offers three spacious bedrooms, and one bathroom. The kitchen and dining room overlook the farm and rolling hills of the forest. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and their own entry doors for access. The master bedroom, with a workspace overlooks the gardens and the bedroom one , overlooks the courtyard. The third bedroom has a set of bunks, with a double bed at the bottom and a single bed at top and also a cot in that room.
You can take in the sunset on the deck with undisturbed views of the forest and farm, or sit by the fireplace with the central heating inside and take in the beauty.
The home boasts an abundance of natural light and a beautiful newly renovated fully equipped kitchen.
The dining room has a gorgeous french oak dining table that seats 12.
The gardens grow food all year round and we encourage you to enjoy organics straight from the farm. Harvest is dependant on the season.
The most beautiful forest is literally at your doorstep. It's Dandenong Ranges National Park and access is via the gate at the bottom of the farm, there you will find creeks, waterfalls , 100's of walking tracks, bike tracks and 8700 acres of pristine rainforest.
There is a fully fenced children’s garden, with a mud kitchen, childrens play store and digger.
There is also a wood fired oven on site.
Guest access
There is 3 acres of farmland to relax in, there is also a gate at the bottom of the property that has direct access to the forest. There are over hundreds of different walking tracks as well as a mountain bike riding tracks. Direct access to Silvan Dam, waterfalls and creeks as well as 8700 acres of pristine forest.
Other things to note
Picnic Hampers, private yoga classes and in house massages (onsite $100 per hour) are also available upon request.
We have a strict no pets policy, mainly because of the wombats, ducks and other fauna that live on the farm.
We have two resident alpacas - Alfie and Aggie on the farm.
There is a bar fridge in the kitchen and full size fridge located in the laundry.
