Just 90 minutes from Sydney, this is the perfect farm-stay getaway for a large family or group of friends.
Enjoy the best that the South Coast has to offer at this gorgeous 60-acre property, located 5 minutes’ drive from charming Jamberoo village, and 15 minutes’ drive from beachside Kiama.
The property has an elevated position on Jamberoo Mountain, with sea glimpses to the East, and breathtaking views of the Illawarra escarpment to the West.
You’ll enjoy complete privacy at Gumarra Homestead, surrounded by tranquil gardens and native bushland. We get daily visits from the local wildlife including a family of kangaroos and a wide array of birdlife.
There are ten paddocks on the property, with friendly sheep, cows and a horse as well as an array of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, and a wide range of birdlife. You’ll also find a handful of hens in the chicken coop.
The house includes two large living spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large child-secure verandah and BBQ area. We also have a slow combustion wood-heater with firewood provided from May to September.
The wifi signal in the house is excellent. There are two large TVs with all the major streaming channels (Netflix, Stan, Prime, etc), DVD players plus a wide range of DVDs.
You will enjoy a wide range of activities during your stay at Gumarra Homestead, including use of the private inground solar-heated pool, floodlit tennis court and table tennis table. There are tracks for bushwalking through the property’s rainforest, or neighbouring Barren Grounds.
In the surrounding areas there’s plenty to keep you entertained. The Jamberoo Action Park and Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures are excellent options for kids, and the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is fun for all ages. The pristine local beaches of Kiama and Gerringong are sure to put on a good show for you, regardless of the time of year.
