Access is by ferry on the hour from Palm Beach Wharf during the day or water taxi at other times. It is a very scenic 30 minute ferry ride from Palm Beach Wharf.
The location has an abundance of wildlife and a sub-tropical terrain. Great Mackerel Beach borders the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and therefore a fantastic place for bushwalking.This is a place where it is common to see wallabies, monitors, goannas, lyre birds and brush turkeys.
The newly renovated house consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 queen rooms and a bunk room that sleeps 2

There are two covered decks, one at the front of the house and one at the back. The front deck features a large dining table, daybed, and a wicker outdoor lounge.
