Surrounded by a cottage garden overflowing with roses, liliums, clivias & hebes, in absolute seclusion, it is just a short stroll to the boat launching ramp and children's playground.
This 3 bedroom, self contained accommodation set on a one acre property, boasts a timber kitchen with full sized oven, fridge, cooktop and microwave. The cottage has complimentary WiFi, reverse cycle aircon, a cosy wood fire for cold, winter nights & delightful cast iron beds & furniture from a bygone era.
Beds include QB, DB and two SB. Linen is provided.
Enjoy a starter breakfast of homemade bread & fresh, free range eggs, if available. BBQ on the covered entertainment deck overlooking the rose garden or simply watch the Firetail Finches, Red Capped Parrots & Rosellas from your front verandah. Finally, no trip to Albany would be complete without visiting the world-class NATIONAL ANZAC CENTRE at Heritage Park. Set high on Mt Adelaide with the most magnificent vista of King George Sound, the Anzac Centre overlooks the departure point for the First & Second Convoys of WW1. In late 1914 over 41,000 Australians & New Zealanders (around 30,000 of them Australian) left Albany bound for Gallipoli & the Western Front.
Visitors follow the real life experiences of 1 of 32 characters through the horrors of the Great War by the use of interactive displays & technology. It is a poignant memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice or who were forever changed because of what they had endured.
