This is a two story 1922 craftsman home that has been well preserved. You will find a lot of the original features of the house still remain. We have added many unique antiques to match the time period. The upstairs is arranged to be well suited for children with a secret little playroom. The river view is beautiful with a nice breeze. Our stretch of the river is 2 miles down river from the popular tubing outfitters so it remains peaceful and quiet year round with the occasional kayaker, turtle, or hawk passing by.
We are right in the heart of Martindale, just a few blocks from the very quaint downtown. There is a burger and BBQ restaurant around the corner. There is an awesome taco stand a short drive or walk away. There is also a park with playscape and shallow river access ( great for young kids) about 3/4 mile down the road. The house is a 10 to 15 minute drive to San Marcos and Lockhart, 35 miles from Austin, and 55 from San Antonio.We live a few houses down and value your privacy, but can also be available to answer questions and insure you have a wonderful stay. *We do have a liability waiver that will need to be signed prior to or upon arrival.*

-NO PETS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Pets on the property will result in immediate eviction without a refund.
-NO PARTIES. Maximum 10 adults and 6 vehicles unless prior arrangements have been made with host. Unauthorized guests (including day guests who were not previously approved by host) will be asked to leave and unauthorized vehicles will result in a $50 charge per vehicle.
-Check-in is after 3PM
- Please respect the neighbors. Keep things quiet after 10pm.
- Do not leave children unattended near the River bank. There is a 10ft drop off.
- Take care not to scratch the wood floors. Do not move the furniture.
