Mad Monkey Potts Point is in the heart of Kings Cross. We offer FREE Wifi, FREE nightly events, FREE Xbox & FREE nightly family dinner in our common area. Our kitchen, TV room & outdoor space create the perfect social vibe. Guests can choose between 4 and 6 bed dorms. All our dorms have privacy screens on the beds & powerpoint to recharge your devices after a great day out in Sydney. All rooms have shared bathrooms and toilet facilities. All beds come with clean linen.
We organise FREE events & discounted tickets for pub crawl. We are surrounded by our sister hostels Mad Monkey Kings Cross, Mad Monkey Downtown & Mad Monkey Bayswater, make sure you go to the correct one!

PUBLIC HOLIDAY RECEPTION HOURS: 9am-5pm. Please contact us prior to your arrival if you will be arriving outside these times.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S: All bookings between 23rd December and 2nd January are NON-REFUNDABLE and are subject to a 10 night minimum stay. Payment will be processed within 72 hours of booking and if the card cannot be charged then your booking will be cancelled.
Please also note that our reception will be closed to arrival and departures between 23rd December and 2nd January: no check-ins or outs will be allowed during this time. If your booking contains a check in/out scheduled for those dates then it will be subject to immediate cancellation.
- Cancellations within 24 hours and no shows will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one night stay.
- If you cancel a Non-Refundable Rate you will still be charged the full amount of the booking, this can not be refunded or moved to a different date.
- We are a strictly 18+ property.
- Recommended ages for dorm rooms is 18 to 35. We would advise booking a private room (where available) if outside of this age range for your own comfort.
- Prices are quoted in AUD and are subject to change daily.
- Valid credit card (in the guests name) and a valid passport are required upon check in.
- If you have made a reservation through an (online) travel agency you must cancel or modify through the agency.
- The following payment methods are accepted; cash, credit or debit cards (Visa and MasterCard only). We do not accept American Express. All credit or debit cards incur a 1% payment fee.
- The guest will be responsible for any loss or damage caused at the hostel by guests or visitors of guests.
- $20 fee will be charged for the loss or non-return of any keys to reception upon check out.
- When booking multiple beds in a shared dorm, we cannot guarantee to put people on the same booking in the same room, however we will do our best.
- Guests may not consume or store food and drinks in their rooms. Any alcohol or food found in the rooms will be removed.
- Smoking is only permitted within the designated smoking areas.
- No E-Bike batteries are allowed on the premises
