Isola nel Cielo is far, far away from all the hustle and bustle where the air is clean and the views are forever. Imagine sitting on our magnificent deck with a glass of wine and a platter of local cheeses, taking in the endless panorama. Breathe in the purest air and absorb the feeling of infinity and beyond. This you can do at our stylish, unique, dog friendly accommodation, located 315 metres high on the Pointer Mountain Estate with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and the Milton hinterland. It is totally private and secluded however no more than 15 mins from Milton, Mollymook and the beautiful South Coast beaches. Sealed access road from the Princes Highway. We welcome people from all walks of life. Please note, we have a strict NO parties nor events policy and excessive noise or music will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Isola nel Cielo translates to “Island in the Sky” and has uninterrupted views north to Jervis Bay, Lake Conjola then down the eastern coast to the Milton Hinterland as far as Burrill Lake and Termeil. The dwelling is on 10 acres of cleared land (the entire property is 100 acres), the rest of the property falls away to untouched bushland and rainforest.
This totally private mountaintop getaway is less than 3 hrs from Sydney & 2.5 hrs from Canberra. It is surrounded by the famous Budawang Mountain Ranges, the Morton National Park and State Forest. It is 12 mins from Lake Conjola, 18 mins to Green Island and 15 mins to the resort towns of Milton & Mollymook.
We cater for up to 6 adults in three large bedrooms. Two bedrooms are upstairs and share the bathroom/separate toilet and the third bedroom is downstairs with its own bathroom/toilet. It must be noted the only access to the downstairs bedroom is by way of outside steps/stairs that are well lit at night.
The main room is the place to sit back and take in the endless ocean and rural views. A stunning outdoor deck faces north, east and west with panoramic views as far north as Point Perpendicular and Mollymook to the east. Looking west you can see the beautiful Budawang Range escarpment. The amazing sunrises and sunsets will take your breath away. Can you imagine sitting on the deck, sipping a glass of wine and watching the full moon rise over the Pacific Ocean. You can see all of the above here.
The star filled night skies are to be seen to be believed. Sit around our outdoor fire-pit, toasting marshmallows and watch the planets and stars, just heavenly.
Wildlife watching from the house includes sea eagles, hawks, wallabies, lyrebirds, wombats and colourful native birds. The local duck family like to visit some mornings and in the next paddock is a friendly family of belted Galloway cows. Our property is super DOG friendly! Dogs love coming here and they are most welcome.
Amenities include a large screen TV, DVDs, stereos, books, CDs, & board games. NBN wi-fi access, Netflix are available. We provide all bed linen, bath towels, beach towels etc. We also provide an emergency kit (just in case!) containing shavers, tampons, shampoo, conditioner, sunblock, toothbrush & toothpaste, soap. There are additional pillows and blankets stored if required. Each bed is equipped with an electric blanket. There are three mountain bikes for you to use. Please advise Ristin.
A slow combustion wood fire is in the main room for warmth during the winter months. Timber is supplied & kindling is available. In winter we will light the fire ahead of your arrival. For the warmer months there is an air-conditioner in main room that cools the entire top floor.
Fully equipped modern kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer and the cupboards are well stocked with everyday items such as sugar, salt, tea, sauces, chutneys, flour etc. Fresh milk and butter will be in the fridge upon your arrival. A secondary fridge is downstairs. A Weber BBQ is positioned on the deck. A box of organic local vegetables may be ordered upon request. Please let Ristin know so she can order this in advance ahead of your arrival.
