This spacious, home-away-from-home, 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom townhouse is set in a peaceful, semi-rural area with beaches, local shops, tavern, a library, butchery, bakery, supermarket and a doctor’s surgery all within a 5-15 minute walk.
The property offers free Wi-Fi for guests to use, board games in the separate kitchenette/entertainment area on the upper floor, plenty of outdoor patio space and all bedrooms benefit from heating and cooling air-conditioning.
Full linen is provided so just please bring your own beach towels.

Our townhouse is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with the property close to countryside and farmland. It’s a short walk through a safe area to the local shops and supermarket, bakery, Beauty Salon, Hairdressing Salon and Medical Centre and local Tavern. A 2 minute drive to the beach or a 15 minute walk to the beach.
Most attractions and amenities are accessible walking or driving from our townhouse, however, should you wish to venture further afield, you can take the bus from Black Head Beach to several towns and cities along the coast.
A local shuttle bus service is available to and from Halliday’s Point Tavern from 5pm until late. The courtesy bus can pick you up if you call them and they can drop you back off at the townhouse again following dinner and drinks.
The towns of Forster, Tuncurry and Taree offer a multitude of attractions including access to nature reserves and can be reached by car in 15-20 minutes.
Blackhead Beach has a refreshing ocean bath and is open for use all year round, and lifeguards patrol the beach during summer months to help you remain safe as you bathe.
Dolphins are regularly seen swimming at Black Head Beach and keen birdwatchers should bring their binoculars as the resident pair of sea eagles use this area as their back yard. Whale watching is available at certain times of the year too, as pods pass by during their migration north.
Nature lovers and photographers can enjoy scenic walks and birdwatching at nearby Black Head lagoon. Alternatively, head to Hallidays Point Headland or One Mile Beach in Forster with large sand dunes for a spot of sand surfing.
There are several walking trails in the local area. One begins at Black Head bowling Club and winds its way through a rainforest to a quiet pebbled beach and another picturesque track leads from Redhead to Shelly Beach - a secluded and rocky beach with parking close to the trail.
In addition, the region offers further activities, including horse riding on the beach, surfing, diving, sailing, fishing, kayaking, seasonal whale watching, 4 x 4 adventures and wine tasting.
Black Head Market operates on the first Sunday of each month from September through to May, in Wyllie Breckenridge Park. It’s the perfect place to browse for fresh local produce and handicrafts.
Foodies can also sample some of the best oysters and seafood in NSW at the Coops in Tuncurry and Forster or visit the Coastal Brewing Company where they brew their own ale and name their beers after natural wonders along the mid North Coast area (think Boomerang Beach Pal Ale and Black Head Milk Stout).
