Summary: The house is great! It’s modern and spacious. We loved having the seperate media room to chill out and watch a movie and the outdoor covered area gave us privacy and somewhere for the dogs to hang out under cover. We spent NYE here around the pool table popping out to see the fireworks at 9pm at back creek and watching movies all night. My grand-daughter loved the pool which was heated slightly and spent a lot of time in there. We took our paddle boards and enjoyed going over to the sand bank right in front of us with the kids and dogs it’s shallow enough to walk over. Back Creek is the best spot for paddle boarding we had so much fun there they also have an area for fishing, swimming and jumping off the bridge so this place suits all ages and you can stay for hours without getting bored. The only downside to this stay was a misrepresentation of the stay in that the owners stay on the property, they had many people coming and going who were camping on the property to the left and right of you. We had many knocks on our front door and had to direct them to the shed where the owners were staying. We had locked rooms in the house which was fine and didn’t bother us but what did bother me was when I was out my son stayed home (19) watching TV and said in the locked bedroom that someone was in there watching tv. I text the owner but didn’t hear back about this? They also only supply a roll of toilet paper to get you going and no pantry items. These were listed as supplied and when I text the owner he did come over and give me 2 more rolls which was nice but said “we are not a hotel”. I bought more toilet paper and pantry items: sugar, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, oil, etc. all the staple pantry items. Had I have known I would have brought these from home to save the extra cost. There are also no cleaning products supplied (aside from some dishwashing tablets and dishwashing liquid) which is fine but just be prepared to bring these along. I am used to everywhere I’ve stayed supplying these things so I’ll know for next time to ask exactly what is and isn’t supplied. Check in time says 4pm on here however the owners rang at it was ready at lunch time which meant we could have arrived earlier. None of this really affected the fun we had here, only that we are private people and I expected the place to ourselves but we got used to it and things turned out ok. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.
