MERUNGIE is a 5th generation sheep property covering just under 800 acres. We pride ourselves on producing prime quality grass feed lamb. The land and our animals are our passion. Over the past 17 years we have undertaken extensive tree planting, planting over 40,000 native trees and bushes creating tree lanes bordering each paddock which brings a huge array of bird life and native animals to our property whilst offering protection from the elements for our stock.
The Cottage is set within the acreage of 'Merungie' offering stunning 360 deg views over the Orange district. The cottage is 12 kms from both Orange and Millthorpe.
Once the former shearer's quarters, the cottage has been renovated and is fully furnished offering self catered cosy cottage living for up to 6 people. Boasting glorious north easterly views through the valley, the tranquility of the music of birds and stock this is a peaceful step away from city life.

As 'Merungie' is a working sheep property there will be at times tractors and stock that pass by. The cottage has a fully enclosed yard however, we kindly request pets are left at home.
Taxi and car hire services are available to/from Orange, Millthorpe and surrounds.
Whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the country lifestyle, the cottage is a scenic 10 minute drive from the township of Orange. In this colourful city you are spoilt for choice when it comes to hatted restaurants, wine bars, award winning vineyards, beautiful parks, lakes and walking trails, golf clubs and boutique stores.
A 10 minute drive to the south is the historic village of Millthorpe renowned for it's 'Heritage with Style', the cobblestone streets are brimming with cafe's, cellar doors, hatted restaurant, boutique stores, arts and antiques.
Lucknow is a 3 to 3.5 hours drive from Sydney passing through the Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Bathurst. We are 1.5 hours from Dubbo home of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo and a comfortable 3.5 hours from Canberra.
Minimum Stay
Minimum stay of 2 nights is required.
3 day booking required during long weekends.
