Murrundi Cliffs Holiday Home is on the banks of the River Murray, with a private jetty for our guests. Whether you want to have an action packed watersports weekend away or a simple relaxation expedition, Murrundi Cliffs Holiday Home has it all. No pets allowed and no smoking inside the house.
Murrundi Cliffs is a large Queenslander style home, with 5 bedrooms, allowing the 10 guests privacy and comfort. The spacious living areas look over the river, and the ochre cliffs rising up across the water. As the sun sets, the cliffs turn a magnificent golden red, stunning all who see them. You will be captivated by several wild kookaburras who come to the trees nearby, hoping for a raw meat offering! (Please do not feed them processed meat eg ham, sausage, or bones)
Once you set foot in Murrundi Cliffs Holiday Home, you will notice the easy care furniture and floors. We have furnished it with recycled furniture where possible to minimise the impact on the planet. With a large dining table, and all the features of a regular kitchen, our guests can easily create meals, or warm up ones brought from home.
There are two outdoor settings - one on the balcony, and one below in the undercroft. We have a BBQ and an outdoor gas pizza oven. Gas is supplied.
All the beds are brand new, and are large and comfortable. We have pillows and doonas for every bed, and an electric blanket if booked in winter or spring. All linen is supplied but beds are not made up. Linen includes sheets, towels and bathmats. The 5 bedrooms are - 1 king, 2 queens and 2 rooms with 2 king singles in each. There is only room for 2 people in each bedroom, although a cot would fit in the each of the queen bedrooms.(no cots supplied)
The kitchen is equipped with an oven and gas cooktop, a microwave, and a dishwasher (and of course a substantial fridge/freezer). Toaster and kettle are provided, and all crockery, cutlery and kitchenware that you will require. A Nespresso coffee machine is available. In the second bathroom there is a shower and toilet, as well as a washing machine. Rainwater for drinking will be supplied in an 11 litre container. The house runs on river water. There are 4 fridges, (3 outside) and multiple tables and chairs both indoors and out. BBQ, Pizza oven and a Weber are all on site with gas bottles. Bring your own pizza dough and ingredients, and let the kids create a masterpiece.
No parties please and no extra camping guests are allowed. Pets are also not allowed. Our neighbours are to be respected - please turn off all music at midnight. Our caretaker lives a few houses away and will be available to help with any problems.
Inside there is a pool table, not perfect, but will provide a lot of fun. We have a table tennis table (damaged in parts by careless guests) outside downstairs, also for your enjoyment. Pentanque balls are also available. There is a TV with a chromecast but no live TV. Iview and other streaming can be used. Some families like the TV free environment.
As owners, we believe in using Murrundi Cliffs to its full potential, which is why we are happy to rent it out. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am . There is a lock box on the wall outside which can be accessed at all hours.
