The Space:
Featuring underfloor heating and aircon throughout, the house epitomises luxury and style. Take the tour: a short entrance corridor leads to a living area with a sofa, 2 occasional chairs, gas fireplace and smart TV. This living space flows through to a fully-equipped kitchen offering a wide island bench, induction cooktop, a choice of 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher and an integrated fridge/freezer. A breakfast bar with 5 stools overlooks the backyard/pool area. Take a few steps down to the dining space that comes with a table for 8 people, beyond which is a second living area with 2 more sofas, another smart large-screen TV, a grand piano and a powder room with a toilet and basin. Off this living space is the master bedroom, providing a king size bed and a skylight with a remote controlled blind. This bedroom also has a spacious walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom with a large round bathtub, separate shower, toilet and 2 vanities, each with their own sink and mirror.
The house’s 3 other bedrooms are found on the first floor, all with a queen sized bed, writing desk and built-in wardrobes. The light-filled bathroom on this floor has a floating bath, a separate shower with a frameless glass screen and a toilet.
Another staircase by the front door takes up to a home gym with its own shower and toilet, as well as a sofa that can be converted to a double bed if required, bringing the total sleeping capacity of the house to 10 people. There’s also a dedicated laundry room with a washing machine and separate dryer.
The house’s sun-drenched backyard comes complete with a heated swimming pool and spa protected by a transparent glass safety fence. An outdoor lounge setting has a fire pit that can be converted it into an outdoor coffee table, and there’s a couple of banana lounges too. A second, separate outdoor space provides a deck and undercover dining area with a table for 6 people. There’s also a lush green garden and lawn area for kids to play in.
The Neighborhood:
Situated north of Sydney’s CBD (Downtown), Avalon is a relaxed, beachy suburb in Sydney’s Northern Beaches district, being close to both Whale Beach and Palm Beach. The house itself is perfectly located, just a short stroll to Avalon beach (under 10 minutes) offering great surfing, fishing, and a public ocean pool. It’s also walking distance to a Woolworths Metro, eateries, the Avalon surf club and golf course. Pittwater, also a stroll away, has flat beach swimming and public ferries. Bilgola Beach, Whale Beach, Newport Beach and Palm Beach all under 10 minutes by car away.
Getting Around:
Free street parking is available for driving guests. If you prefer public transport, buses service the area, with a bus stop 6 minutes’ walk from the house.
Other Things to Note:
* Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-inprocess.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on thecircumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
