The Space:
With polished floors and ducted reverse-cycle aircon throughout, you’ll first enter the townhouse into an entrance hall with a glass-topped side table for your keys. A corridor then leads you into an open-plan kitchen/dining living area. The kitchen comes equipped with marble benchtops, 5-burner gas cooktop, a wide Miele under-bench electric oven, a microwave, Miele dishwasher, a family-sized double door LG fridge and coffee-maker. Just off the kitchen you’ll find a separate laundry space with a top-loader washing machine and separate dryer. There’s a dining table for 6 people and a rug for winter comfort, beyond which is the living area, offering a sofa for 3 people, an occasional chair, a coffee table, a large wall-mounted Smart TV and another rug for comfort. Glass sliding doors lead out to the backyard and a wooden deck with a couple of modern banana lounges. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs coming off the corridor, both with double beds, block-out blinds and built-in wardrobes. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with stylish marble tiled walls, a roomy shower recess and frameless glass screen. The other downstairs bedroom comes with a writing desk and a sliding door that leads to a bathroom which can also be accessed from the corridor. This bathroom, has its own large shower recess.
A flight of stairs takes you up to the house’s 2nd storey where you’ll find 3 more bedrooms. The master bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed, block-out blinds and a walk-in wardrobe that has a private bathroom off it, with its own large shower recess and a separate bathtub. The other 2 bedrooms on this level have double beds and built-in wardrobes, as well as ensuite bathrooms with large shower recesses.
The Neighborhood:
Situated 9 kilometres (5.6 miles) from Melbourne’s CBD (Downtown), Preston is a vibrant suburb teaming with shops, eateries and bars, and growing in popularity as it continues to be gentrified. The townhouse itself is in a great location, just 15 minutes walk to a Woolworths supermarket in one direction and an IGA supermarket in the other. Preston Markets are even closer, offering a host of eateries, and shops for food, fashion, home/living hair and beauty. Even more choice is available only a little further away on High Street. HP Zwar Park is a few minutes stroll from the townhouse, with Preston City Oval 12 minutes on foot. The Preston Conference Centre is just 5 minutes walk away.
Getting Around:
The townhouse comes with off-street parking in front of the garage, and free street parking is also available. If you prefer public transport, nearby bus and tram services can deliver you to the CBD (Downtown) in under an hour.
Other Things to Note:
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on thecircumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
