Travel Purpose: business

Positive: On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, a loaf of fresh bread and a carton of eggs left on the bench. That was a very pleasant surprise. We only got to see the views in the late afternoon as we left each morning in the dark to get to our jobs that we were working at for the 2 weeks we stayed at the house. We loved the lush green scenery and the quietness, A great place to get sleep! When the thunderstorms came, it was really interesting to hear the thunder reverberating around the whole valley.

Negative: The pin code was supposed to be texted through to us before we arrived, but we arrived to no pin code after 11.5 hours of driving. I had to ring the agents for the code so we could open the door and unload our luggage. As soon as we put anything in the bin under the bench, we had a constant stream of ants until the bin got emptied. Anything left on cupboards was found by ants as well unless they were in sealed containers. On our last day, we had a power blackout, which meant no water to the whole house. I'd only just put water in the sink to wash the dishes, so that was the only water we had to wash our hands etc. until we left. The owners had to flush the toilet after we left as there was no water to do that either. As our job finished 2 days before we were told it was supposed to, I couldn't get a refund for those 2 nights we had to forfeit, as we didn't need to be there for longer. There should be an allowance for a refund if you have to leave early.

Summary: A beautiful place to stay if you've got time to enjoy the views.
