Bus 142 is your route. Bus stop #12 at 47 Tusmore Avenue is where you can hop on the 142 bus and make your way into the city. Midweek bus frequency is around 30 mins, and on the weekends this shifts to hourly. Once in the city, you have a multitude of options depending on where you would like to head.
MetroCard is an electronic smart card and is your best option for frequent public transport use as it offers cheaper fares than SingleTrip or DayTrip Metro tickets.
