The Gatehouse is centrally located in the spectacular Happy Valley, in the heart of the region. Set amongst a beautiful garden and olive grove, it's the ideal place to base yourselves whilst you explore all the delights the Alpine region has to offer.
Our stylish retreat boasts stunning views, open plan living and luxurious comfort. With vaulted ceilings throughout and timber and corrugated iron a feature. Large windows capture the views and wide verandahs are ideal for outdoor entertaining.
The Gatehouse offers the ultimate in modern and comfortable holiday accommodation for couples and families. We can accommodate up to six people, with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds, with the second bedroom also having a set of bunks. The second bedroom is quite small.
Enjoy exploring the area, with Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Milawa all within half an hours' drive. Or pack a picnic and head off for the day to one of our famous destinations, such as; Mt Buffalo, Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Lake Buffalo or Wandilagong.
To welcome you we hope you enjoy our complimentary local wine and Breakfast Hamper for your first breakfast - bacon, free range eggs, local bread, jams, honey, tea, coffee and olive oil(our own).
About us
The Gatehouse is located on our farm, where we grow olives, as well as breeding Angus cattle and Australian stock horses. Staying with us you'll be totally private amidst your own garden, but also be able to enjoy the space and relaxation that the farm offers.
We have developed our farm over twenty years. When we arrived our property was largely undeveloped with only a couple of dams and a few trees. We have worked hard to make the farm what it is today. The Gatehouse has been converted from our licensed cafe and gift shop, which we operated successfully for seven years. The transformation into stylish self contained accommodation has been very successful and we look forward to your stay with us.
