Located at the entrance of Redlynch Valley on the way to Crystal Cascades - surrounded by rain forest, rocks and swimming holes following Freshwater Creek.
This is a large two storey house with 6 air-conditioned bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen, upstairs and downstairs living areas and several wide verandahs and covered patios. The upstairs living area is air conditioned. The Kitchen has fans and downstairs living area is not airconditioned as it is all open plan. There are stairs, so please talk to us about suitability for elderly or less mobile guests in your group.
The house is set well back from the road and screened by a long line of old Mango trees. Owned by a local family. A fenced off area and barn not far from the house and one other permanently tenanted house is the only area which is classed as "out of bounds" on the 13 acres of wide open spaces and lush gardens.
The Zanzoo Estate is perfectly equipped to accommodate large families or groups of holiday makers. We have a full sized tennis court - also included are a few tennis rackets, please bring your own tennis balls. There will be a charge for lost or damaged Rackets.
Our resort style pool facilities complete with covered sitting area with table, chairs and BBQ will bring great enjoyment to any holiday maker.
We will greet you with the keys and show you where everything is. Groceries can be ordered online from Woolworths Redlynch and we can see that cold items get packed away. ***This needs to be pre-arranged with us.
The Zanzoo Estate is well equipped for small children providing porta cot with waterproof mattress protector, high chair, and pram. As our property is 2 storey safety gates are also available for our younger visitors.
A classic North Queensland timber home on a private 13 acres
This is a truly brilliant home for a large group or family. It is near the end of the beautiful Freshwater valley, close to Crystal Cascades, but still only 15 minutes from the airport or the centre of Cairns city where you can settle in to be part of this wonderful location. All the many attractions and activities Cairns has to offer are really close at hand. 20 mins to the Northern Beaches, 45 mins to Atherton Tablelands.
It is a large private property with a beautiful fresh water creek for the kids to explore, a paddock to play football or cricket in, a tennis court and a pool. The house is huge with lots of quiet spaces as well as large living areas for the whole family. If you are more than 12 people, there are 3 single bed sleep outs upstairs and another single in one of the downstairs rooms.
Outdoor CCTV security cameras are installed as part of the house security plan.
A caretaker couple live on the property in their own separate cottage.
It is recommended that guests have their own vehicle. Hiring of transport is very economical and straight forward. There is plenty of room to park several cars. Public bus transport is also available, but you do have to walk to the bus stop..
You won't find better value than this house for a large group.

Explore Crystal Cascades, walk from here to Copperload dam, play at 'The Rocks' pools, close to a championship course for downhill mountain bike racing, horse riding in the valley and may more things to do.
