The home is situated on 2 acres of land on the river in Axedale. It is close to the centre of town and is walking distance to the Axedale tavern and golf course
Located on the O’Keefe rail trail you will be 10 minutes to the main Boat Ramp at Lake Eppalock, 20 minutes to the centre of Bendigo and 25 minutes to Heathcote
The Space:
The home is spread over 3 levels.
On the upper level of the house you will find the master, it has a queen bed and ensuite with amazing views of the backyard and bushland.It has a TV and a sitting room that has a small study, grand piano and bookshelves filled with books.
The main level of the house you will find the kitchen, pantry, laundry and living area – all with large windows and views of the pool.
On this level is an outside deck with an inbuilt webber and outdoor eating area with a TV.
There are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and 2 toilets on this level.The bedrooms consist of 1 double, 1 queen and 2 king single bunks.There is also a toy room that has a smart TV and games.
The downstairs level we refer to as the bunker –There are two bedrooms both with queen beds, 1 has a TV.They are without windows and subterranean with external ventilation.There is also a bathroom and toilet on this level.
There is a games room with a TV, table tennis table and pool table on this level.The games room opens into a bar with two tvs, the bar has a window into the pool and an external door that opens out into a fire pit area and the backyard where you will find a trampoline for the kids to play on and access to the river down the back of the property.
Guest Access:
You will have full access to the home including access to the small river located at the rear of the property.
The garage and shed will be locked as they are storing the owners belongings.
There is space for 2 cars in the carport and plenty more room for cars on the driveway
The Neighborhood:
Axedale is the half-way point between Bendigo and Heathcote, just a scenic 20-minute drive from either side. It’s also a favourite stop-off along the O’Keefe Rail Trail, a 49-km safe cycling and walking track that follows the historic former railway line from Bendigo to Heathcote. Lake Eppalock is only a 10 minute drive from the home, so bring your boat, fishing gear and bathers!
Only 20 minutes away, Heathcote is famous for its Shiraz bringing many wine lovers to the region. Although the region is known for producing excellent Shiraz, most winemakers experiment with different wines such as Sangiovese, Grenache and Tempranillo. The region is also known for producing white wines like Chardonnay and Riesling. There are 60 wineries operating in Heathcote so there will be something to suit everyone!
20 minutes in the other direction you will come across Bendigo, Victoria's 4th largest city! Famous for its gold mining history and host to many sporting events, art exhibitions and other local events, there is always plenty to do!
