The house is conveniently located in the rural community of Tawonga South, only 2km from the town centre of Mt Beauty. Easy walking distance (1km) to Settlers Tavern (pub), post office (newsagent), shops, cafe's, ski and bike hire services and more. It's an ideal place for a holiday all year round, especially in winter due to its proximity to Falls Creek alpine resort.

There are 3 bedrooms — two with queen-size beds and one with 3 single beds (twin bunk plus a single. The house can accommodate a maximum of 7 people including infants. (No exceptions.)
Guests are requested to bring their own bed sheets, pillow-cases, soap, shampoo, etc. Towels, blankets, pillows and doonas (quilts) are provided. Bed linen is available in case it is inconvenient to bring your own, or if you forget. The cleaning fee ($50) will be discounted/refunded if the house linen is not used. Be sure to note in your booking request if you intend to bring your own linen.
The house is comfortable and well-maintained with all the amenities you might expect including well-equipped kitchen, laundry, tumble drier, outdoor clothes-line, big-screen TV, DVD/CD player, audio system with input for mobile devices, Coonara wood heater and reverse-cycle air-conditioning in the living space and main bedroom.
There's a big front deck with under-cover BBQ area, outdoor furniture, mountain views, plus a garage with drying cabinet for ski gear.

V/Line operates a train-plus-coach transport service between Melbourne (Southern Cross) and Bright (28km from Tawonga South) via Wangaratta every day. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the service runs all the way through to Mt Beauty. A V/Line service also runs from Albury-Wodonga.
Total journey time from Melbourne CBD to Mt Beauty is about five hours by road, including a couple of 15-minute breaks.
