Welcome to Woodlands, Browns Mountain. This magnificent luxury country retreat sits high on the mountain overlooking rolling hills and distant ocean views.
Featured in Australian Travellers Magazine ‘Top 100 great Australian holiday homes, Woodlands is within 2.5 hours' drive south of Sydney, with easy access to Berry and Kangaroo Valley and many South Coast wineries.
Set on five acres, the property is secluded, peaceful and private, with an elegant French provincial style home surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. It’s the ideal setting for your family and friends whether you are visiting for a wedding, event or want to escape from it all for the weekend or spend a week of walking, swimming, playing games, entertaining or simply just relaxing.
With five well-appointed bedrooms each fitted with fine linen and accessories, our gorgeous property has all the comforts of home and is perfect for a summer or winter break. Downstairs, there are four queen bedrooms all with French doors opening out onto the wrap-around verandah, and overlooking our spectacular gardens and pool. Upstairs is a large but cosy open area with a king bed. There are 3 bathrooms with the main featuring a claw foot bath.
The outdoor undercover areas also offer a gas BBQ, lounges and seating to take in the views or dine al fresco. In summer, relax on a deck chair by our stunning 20m pool or have breakfast in the gazebo overlooking the Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay area, followed by lunch under the vine-covered pergola. In winter, enjoy long walks, a good book, board games or movies on our plush cosy couches by the log fires.
All year round, you can make use of our large fully equipped kitchen which will impress the cooking enthusiasts and gourmet chefs alike. Complete with extensive appliances, bakeware and everything you might need, you'll be able to create a feast or arrange the caterers for a special dinner in.
The property’s wildlife including wombats, echidnas, native parrots and lyre birds provide guests an exceptional experience with nature.
Our home is special to us and such we we have provided many extras and personal touches to make it more comfortable for guests. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
POOL - As you can see from the photos, the pool is not fenced and as such young children must be supervised at all times.
NO WEDDINGS OR PARTIES - Sorry no weddings or parties or any large gatherings. We don’t allow our home to be used for functions other than in house catering for guests. Please note that Woodlands is located in a quiet rural-residential area and the privacy and peaceful amenity of our neighbours is paramount to us. Any excessive noise or amplified music will not be tolerated and guests will be asked to leave immediately and all bond money forfeited.
A CLEANING FEE applies to each stay and is automatically calculated when you make your booking. Please note this is only a contribution towards the total cleaning cost and extra charges will apply if our home is not left in a respectful manner and the House Rules followed, particularly with regards to the garbage/recycling, BBQ cleaning and coffee machine cleaning.
FIREPLACES
An adequate supply of firewood will be provided for the fireplaces during the Winter months. Once fully depleted, additional firewood will need to be sourced by guests.
The SERVICE FEE is a percentage of the total booking cost and paid 100% to Stayz and we as hosts do not receive any portion of this.
