Summary: The room was tired and not well maintained. There were brackets for a mirror and pictures on the wall that had not been removed when the items were removed from the wall. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet did not flush well unless you held the handle down for a considerable time. Then it would not stop filling. I had to open the back and push the plug into the hole at the base of the tank to allow it to fill. The toilet in the next room had not had that done apparently, because it ran the whole time we were there. The check-in was very slow due to the computer system not working well. The signage on the outside of the motel was almost non-existent - only a 4'X5' durable plastic banner by the entry. In fact, we went to the Holiday Inn Express across the street, thinking it was our reservation, because we couldn't even see Abilene Inn. The parking lot was not well lit - only minimal lighting by the front door.
