We love this because...
its on the quieter side of the Peninsula but at the centre of everything that is gourmet and arty. It is a beautiful retreat with deep verandahs reminiscent of a country homestead. Its surrounded by cottage gardens and is the perfect spot to sit and relax. We pick fresh produce from the veggie patch and make dinner in the glamorous country kitchen.
It is in the kitchen and dining where we find the real heart of the home and it flows into the lounge with cosy gas fire for those winter stays. We love that the master bedroom has a Juliet balcony for morning coffee amongst the Wisteria. The real highlight is the area, with sweeping crescents of coastline and a foreshore reserve which offers safe swimming along sandy stretches of the coast. Racehorses are trained on the beach early in the morning six days a week. One of the most scenic parts of Balnarring Beach is around Cliff Road where there is a walking track that winds its way down the cliff face to the sandy beach below, offering spectacular views along the coast.
Eating out is a delight. Our most favourite restaurant on the Peninsula La Bouchon is only a 15 minute walk away or you could choose Cia Bella Pizzeria a few minutes further. We are spoilt for choice with Jackalope and its restaurant The Rare Hare a short distance by car in one direction and Pt Leo Estate and Merricks General Store in the other.
We could go on but we suggest...come and stay and try it all out for yourself.

Unfortunately pooches like me can't come and stay at this house.. but sometimes I love to get away for a different holiday with other doggies, so I'll book into my own doggie resort!
