Welcome to our cosy two bedroom house situated on the headland of Potato Point. Potato Point is a coastal village connected by road to the town of Bodalla, on the South Coast of New South Wales. Please check my listing on alternative websites for available dates!
Our home is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature, and is within walking access to the point's two beaches. We have a secure backyard, as well as lockable deck gates, so kids and dogs are welcome!
We have a hot/cold outdoor shower for post-surf rinses, and a bathtub with shower indoors. There are comfortable couches on the deck as well as a hammock and outdoor dining set. Our Weber barbecue is great for cooking up fresh fish caught off the beaches or nearby waterways.
The open-plan living space is centred around a combustion wood fireplace and there's no better way to warm up.
There is an espresso machine and coffee grinder for your use if you are coffee lovers like us. Please note we do not have television or wifi on the premises however mobile calling and internet reception is good.
Dogs:
Please keep dogs outdoors and off furniture.
Both beaches are dog-friendly. Jemisons Beach is dog friendly all year round, and Potato Point beach for most of the year- with time restrictions during the summer months.
If you are bringing your dog, please be aware that Potato Point has a lot of wildlife at your doorstep. We love our native neighbours, and we hope you will take care to ensure they are safe from bother or harm.
What to do:
Potato Point offers pristine beaches, being surrounded by the Eurobodalla National Park. If you are looking to unwind- pick up all your groceries on your way and never leave. If you're after some adventure, here are just a few suggestions:
A ten minute drive will get you to Bodalla, with a great pub and a working dairy which offers delicious cheeses, ice-cream, milk and local produce- as well as twice daily calf-feeding for the kids.
North from Bodalla is Moruya, with twice weekly markets (Tuesdays and Saturdays) famous for fresh, local and organic produce. Heading south you will find the town of Narooma, where you can get your fresh Wagonga oysters, freshly roasted coffee beans, spot seals lazing on the break walls, and book a snorkelling tour to Montague Island or a fishing charter. Narooma also has some great spots to dine out. Further south is historic Tilba- a must visit town with an eclectic mix of shops and cafes. Tilba Valley Winery and Ale House is also a great spot for kids and adults alike. Along this route you can also visit beautiful Mystery Bay and other nearby beaches.
