Our guests comment on how unique it is to have access to a whole house, close to beaches and in a quiet street with a huge back deck overlooking a large and private back yard. We aim for our guests to feel relaxed as soon as they open the front door. Many guests comment that our house reminds them of the beach holidays they themselves experienced as children. For personal safety, we have implemented an enhanced cleaning program with hospital grade cleaning products and the provision of sanitiser and liquid soap.
Port Macquarie is a fantastic all year destination. The weather is mild and sunny and the water temperature varies between 20 - 24 degrees. A 5-10 minute walk from the end of our street will take you to Town Beach, with lifesavers on duty all year. A swim and coffee at Town Beach is a perfect start to the day. The migrating humpback whales can be viewed, between May and October, from the coastal path and the reserve at the end of the street, 20 metres from your front door.
Rainbow lorikeets love the nectar on our flowering grevillias in our front garden, with a newly laid lawn and more Australian native plants to attract birds.
Perfectly positioned on Port Macquarie's beautiful 9km coastal path, you are minutes from beaches, cafes and the CBD. Take the coastal path 10 minutes north for your morning coffee and swim at Town Beach or take the path south for 10 minutes to Flynns Beach and a great breakfast at Sandbox. Walk into town along the coastal path and breakfast on Town Green at Little Shack. Port City Bowling Club and tennis courts are a 10 minute walk. Two golf courses are ten minutes by car. Wifi and a smart TV will keep you entertained at home.
Having travelled overseas, staying in online rentals, our priorities for a relaxed holiday include a comfortable bed, clean house, proximity to local attractions and access to local knowledge.
Our refurbished beach house has 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with double and single bunks. The living and dining areas lead onto a large covered deck with bbq overlooking a huge backyard and tropical garden with plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around. Downstairs is a second shower and toilet and plenty of storage for bikes, surfboards, fishing gear and golf clubs. Bring the family pet to enjoy meeting new friends at leash free Nobby's Beach.
Places to explore around town include the skateboard park, surfing beaches, restaurants on Town Green, exercise circuits at beaches along the coastal path, weekly markets, a vibrant cafe culture, picnic areas with bbq, an unique Koala Hospital, convict history, local zoo, Historical Museum and wineries.
