1 Bedroom Hostel in Lucknow
Important - You must have an international passport to stay with Bairnsdale Workers Accommodation. We are an international hostel catering predominately to people on a 417 and 462 visa.
Minimum stay: 7 nights
We are not a standard walk-in hostel, with 24/7 reception. Check-in is by appointment only. If check-in is outside of working hours, we can arrange self check-in, if we have sighted your passport copy, visa grant notice, filled out the check-in form and completed payment.
Bedroom 1 sleeps 2 (1x king bed), bedroom 2 sleeps 4 (1x queen bed, 1x bunk bed) bedroom 3 sleeps 6 (3x bunk beds).
Each bedroom has air conditioning / reverse cycle, bed linen, doonas and pillows provided, comfortable mattresses and cupboard space both hanging and drawers.
The accommodation is a registered prescribed accommodation business, has spacious communal areas, the living room has an L-shaped couch and a large flatscreen TV. We also have musical instruments to be played (piano and guitar). There is a small library of books and plenty of board games located in the large bedroom for guests to enjoy. In the metal chest under the car port there are a variety of lawn games.
The kitchen has two 4-burner stoves, two ovens, a dishwasher, a large commercial fridge, chest freezer and lots of cooking utensils and appliances, including a microwave, kettle and toaster. There is plenty of dry food storage areas.
There is a large deck with outdoor seating and hammock. In the backyard you can cut off some branches of our rosemary bush for your roast dinner or enjoy a fire pit in the evening (purchase own wood).
The bathroom comprises of two showers with instantaneous gas hot water, two toilets and a vanity with two sinks.
Downstairs, you can find the dining room with a large table and plenty of chairs. The laundry room has a free washing machine, you just need to provide your own washing powder. There is a coin-operated dryer (takes 4 x $1 coins).
We don’t provide towels, soap or shampoo. Upon arrival we will supply some of the basics, such as bin bags, toilet paper, dish wash liquid, cleaning products, but these won't be replenished during your stay.
This accommodation is simple yet comfortable and clean.
Please note that if you book for 2 people, we will only make 2 beds, if you book for 6 people, we will make 6 beds etc.
Check out is 11am, check-in from 3pm.
If you love fishing and crabbing and want to cook your catch, you will need to bring a little camping stove and cook these items outside to reduce the smell for the next guests. Also immediately dump all crab shells and / or fish guts in a plastic bag, tie the bag up and put in the outdoor bin please. If you cook your crabs inside, the smell will remain in the curtains etc which means we will need to charge an extra cleaning fee.
