It is a former forestry workers cottage, and the site takes pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of fresh flowers, candles, and chocolates, as well as tea and freshly ground organic coffee for the espresso coffee machine. Their sustainable practices include solar-assisted power, on-site waste water treatment, use of rainwater throughout, natural cleaning products, and re-purposed building materials.The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with a double bed. All linen is included. The fully-equipped kitchen has a stove, an oven, a coffeemaker, and a microwave. There is a cosy wood-burning fireplace, and electric blankets are also provided for those cold mountain nights. A collection of books, CDs, and games, an iPod docking station, a CD player, and binoculars for bird watching are also provided. The veranda with gas barbecue looks out to the forest and the visiting birdlife. The property is a short walk from D'Aguilar National Park which offers a number of walking tracks and picnic areas.Guests can enjoy the complete cooking facilities in the accommodation.
