Located near North Hobart's popular restaurant strip, Kallara House is the perfect base for your Tasmanian holiday. The city centre is only a short drive away, and steps away, you will find the best locally produced Tasmanian food at Hill Street Grocers. Enjoy your morning coffee at my personal favourite cafe Daci & Daci, just a few minutes walk from the house.Accommodating up to 7 guests, Kallara House offers off street parking for one car, NBN Wifi, Netflix and easy access to the CBD, the restaurant strip and Hobart's attractions.
You will be impressed from the moment you step inside. The home incorporates the original with modern updates. Built in 1914, the home retains its beautiful period features which include high ceilings, timber fretwork, picture rails and original fireplaces (now ornamental only).
The entry level features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 stylish bathrooms, both with gorgeous views of Mt Wellington.
One bedroom offers a King size bed and a TV, another offers a Queen size bed. The third bedroom has a Queen size bed plus a single bed.
All beds have quality mattresses to ensure a good night's rest. Electric blankets are provided to keep you snug on those chilly nights.
There are two bathrooms and one of them is an ensuite to the main bedroom. There are two toilets upstairs with a third toilet downstairs. The main bathroom has large windows which capture ever changing views of Mt Wellington.
Downstairs, enjoy cooking local Tasmanian produce in the fully equipped kitchen. It features stone bench tops, chef knives, an array of stainless steel appliances, including gas cooker, dual dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave, rice cooker and coffee machine.
Off the kitchen is the formal lounge and dining. Enjoy Netflix on the Smart TV. There is also a Nintendo Wii, and a selection of board games, music and books.
The home has a laundry with washing machine and dryer for your use - perfect for longer stays. All our linen is professionally laundered.
Kallara House is well equipped with heating and cooling options.
Upstairs, there is a fan heater plus heaters are provided in all rooms.
Downstairs has a reverse cycle air con in the dining room and a cosy gas fireplace in the lounge.
A large glass open living area flows from the lounge room and features French doors which open out to the private patio and the beautiful established garden.
With its large outdoor umbrella for those sunny afternoons, it is a perfect place to sit and unwind with a coffee or a glass of wine.
