Mindaribba - A Hunter (Aboriginal meaning) is a spectacular and gracious 1800’s house and cottage combining regional heritage with modern architecture to create a stunning stay experience.
Located minutes from the villages of Lorn and Morpeth, 15 minutes to Maitland and less than half an hour to the vineyards, restaurants, wedding and concert venues of Wine Tocal and Wine Country. Mindaribba Estate is only one hour’s drive from the city and beaches of Newcastle and only two hours to Sydney. A tree-lined driveway welcomes you to a magical setting with magnificent park-like grounds, clipped hedgerows, beautiful old trees, breathtaking rural views and of course, the Paterson River.
Mindaribba Estate is centred around a stunning in-ground pool and comprises of a heritage Mindaribba House, a contemporary kitchen, dining and living wing as well as the conversion of the property’s original dairy into a charming garden stay for two guests called Ribba Cottage. Combined, the house and cottage create the perfect Estate stay for up to 12 guests seeking a private and luxurious holiday, family and friends’ reunion, wedding guests or, a small conference destination at this iconic, Hunter property.
Mindaribba House features five very generously sized bedrooms featuring ornate high ceilings, an abundance of natural light, original timber floorboards, beautiful, polished cedar joinery, chandeliers, and decorative fireplaces. With 3 bathrooms total in the House, the stunning main bathroom features a granite natural stone bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak.
Although the detail, charm and character speak to the property’s’ grand pastural history, Mindribba Estate has all the benefits of air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity and entertainment for all your guests needs, as well as abeautiful interior games room with traditional billiard table, board games and books to providehours of fun and relaxation for all.
The dramatic and contemporary main living wing has vaulted cathedral ceilings and an ultra-modern kitchen with an incredible timber slab island bench. Gather friends and family around this epic bench for drinks, canapes and good times or sit at the Danish inspired dining table for a hearty breakfast or a gourmet dinner with locally sourced wines, baked goods and produce. This generous space has a sitting area with large picture windows to take in the rural views or, snuggle on the deeply comfortable lounge to watch a movie, read or tell stories over wine and cheese. The tall stone fireplace adds warmth to the room all year round. Six sets of French doors allow this space to flow on to shaded lush green lawn, garden, and gazebo on one side and to a leafy veranda, covered alfresco dining, BBQ and day beds surrounding the pool terrace on the other.
Stroll across the lawn and down the little lane to Ribba Cottage, the Estates’ one bedroom, shower bathroom with self-contained cottage with kitchen, casual sitting room and huge outdoor stone bathtub on the riverbank.

The Paterson River accessible from this property is for agricultural purposes only and for guests’ safety, no water sports or swimming is permitted from the banks for the river at any point.
Being a working, agricultural property, we wanted guests to know that on occasion, to expect the seasonal life of the farm to occur and they may see the Farm Manager on his tractor or tending to the livestock.

TARIFFS
Weekend - (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun) minimum 2 nights for up to 12 guests (adults or children) $1,899 per night
Midweek - (Mon - Thu) minimum 2 nights for up to 12 guests (adults or children) $1,425 per night
Infants under 2 are free.
Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.
Please note if a Sunday or Public Holiday check in then an additional $700 cleaning charge will be applied to your booking.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1000 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.
Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
