Tambreet is situated on a 125 acre livestock breeding property, producing Angus cattle, we also have a few pet goats and poultry. It is the ideal location to get away from it all - just sit back relax and enjoy your private view through the rainforest to the creek. Perhaps you might spot the shy platypus, or if you are an avid photographer set yourself up for the spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the distant mountains, or capture some of the 100+ species of birds so far identified on the farm.
If you are after a little more activity, there is plenty to explore away from the farm. You could head east for a day trip to the coast – beaches and lakes, river cruises and ocean fishing charters, whale watching and dolphins, restaurants, cafes and many local boutique wineries, even camel rides on the beach. On another day you might like to head west into the mountains - 4wd’ing, bushwalking and sight-seeing some of the natural wonders within the nearby National Parks and State Forests. Or visit the timber town of Wauchope and explore the lush dairy hinterland of Comboyne.

Tambreet cottage is well insulated to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. It is fully self-contained comprising two bedrooms, each with a comfy queen size bed. All sheets and towels are supplied, plus pillows, quilts and extra blankets. There are bedside tables with reading lamps, plus shelf / hanging space for your clothes. The fully equipped kitchen has fridge, microwave, stove with gas cooktop and electric oven, plus all cutlery, crockery and utensils that you might need during your stay, just BYO food/drinks. The lounge area has a comfy leather lounge, TV/DVD and radio/stereo system, a good selection of DVDs are available to watch, whilst in the separate library room you will find loads of books and magazines to read. The bathroom has shower toilet and vanity, plus a laundry with washing machine.
You are also welcome to use our in-ground pool and BBQ, and if its the season you may sample some citrus fruits from our orchard, or pumpkins/squash home grown in the paddocks.
The cottage is situated near the main home (where we live) yet its position allows you total privacy. Having lived in the area for over 40 years, we are happy to share our knowledge of the local area and offer suggestions of what to do and see during your stay.
