Summary:
The Lakehouse sits on a manicured 22 acre property in Toomuc Valley just 10 minutes drive from Pakenham Main Street. Your hosts are Michael & Sabrina who love hosting and meeting new people. Their property is home to 6 large horses, 4 miniature horses, 1 pig, geese, ducks, chickens, aviary birds, guinea pigs, 4 friendly family dogs, huge fish in the 5,000 sqm lake with 100’s of fish available for fishing in the smaller dam, wild water birds and wild kangaroos on the property.
The Space:
The guest room is separate from the main house by an undercover walkway on the decking and they are a few meters apart. It shares the same roof as the main house yet the walls don’t touch. The ensuite is in the guest room (also not attached to the main house). Towels will be provided but no face washers. The large guest bedroom has 2 queen beds and a lounge sofa, private bathroom/shower facilities, ceiling fans, a heater in winter, a fridge and a large TV mounted on the wall. There is a large brand new merbau deck surrounding the guest room which is just meters away from the lakefront. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor entertaining area & kitchen including a large gas Beef-Eater BBQ, stove, oven, fireplace, table and chairs.
Every afternoon between 4-5 pm, Michael & Sabrina do the following activities below. You are welcome to tag along and experience these:
Feed horses - 20 mins
Lead the ducks back to their home for the night - 5mins
Feed the pet parrots - 10 mins
(Optional) take the horse/mini horse for a walk - 20 mins
Feed the Murray cod and giant goldfish in the lake - 5mins.
Depending on the season, you will find black swans and their babies in the lake and fallow deer and kangaroos on the property boundary. There is a massive fire pit by the lake available for when no fire restrictions are in force.
Guest Access:
Follow 200 meters of driveway past the lake and horse paddocks and you will come to the front of the house with plenty of parking available. From the front it is a short walk through the courtyard to the guest room.
The Neighborhood:
Just a 7 minute drive to almost any shop you require. Restaurants, fast food, supermarket, bottle shop etc. A short drive to everything you need, with enough distance from the town for a peaceful night stay.
Getting Around:
10 minutes from Pakenham Train station which we can pick you up and drop off if you need (for a fee). Maximum 4 people.
Other Things to Note:
If you have a pet that you would like to bring, please enquire first and let us know your pets breed and age. If your pets have been accepted to stay, please bring the appropriate bedding as the pets can't sleep on the beds/furniture. Please keep in mind we have a lot of wildlife on the property so keep a close eye on your furry friend please. Please note: no responsibility will be taken if your pet jumps into the horse paddocks and gets injured and compensation will be required if your pet injures (or worse) any of our chickens/ducks/horses etc.
If you would like cooked meals, please enquire and we can tell you the price per adult/per child. You can have a choice of Aussie or Chinese meals. If you can also please give us 24 hours notice if you want meals, that would be great.

We are happy to socialise and show you around if you like, or if you would prefer to be left alone that is fine also.
