The House
Situated in Metricup in the heart of the Margaret River wine region and overlooking a small valley, the house is nestled into the landscape with views directly to the north. The house has been designed to provide a holiday feel by open plan living and the cosiness of sharing through simple living.
There are two bedrooms each with a queen size bed and the third bedroom having three single beds best suited for kids. There is an ample size bathroom and separate toilet.
A large living area is the main gathering space and looks over the small valley through to the national park. The living area has a large 8 seat dining table and TV lounge area.
The house is designed on passive solar principles to provide year round comfort with minimal energy use. In winter there is a fireplace for extra warmth on those cold nights. In summer the house is designed to allow for cooling breezes by opening up louvres and windows.
The house has all the amenities for a holiday stay with clean linen and towels supplied for each bed including doona and pillows.
The kitchen is well stocked for cooking with a gas bench top stove and electric oven, a dishwasher and large refrigerator. Ample platters, plates, glasses, general utensils, saucepans, etc are also supplied.
The Property
Three Towns Stay acknowledges the Wadandi people of the region as the traditional custodians of this land, and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
The property is situated within an agricultural area and surrounded by a vineyard, a cattle property and conservation bush land.
There is abundant wildlife in the area like local kangaroos and bird life including blue wrens, willy wagtails and black cockatoos.
Reptiles also live here, so please watch out for bobtails and black skinks and the very occasional snake or goanna over the summer months.
For nature walking or riding within close proximity there is the Yelverton National Park access just down the road. Wilyabrup Cliffs is not far from the Caves Road end of Metricup Rd with a 20 minute walk to the coast and cliffs.
Local attractions include the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, Providore, Woody Nook and Hay Shed Hill wineries amongst many others as well as the Beer Farm and nearby Cowaramup including the bakery for fresh bread and cakes.
