Situated in West Gippsland ...The Paris Cottage was in its original form part of the Darnum Musical Village...which was operating for 40 years...the only Musical Village in Australia.My husband and I have fully renovated the Village ,which is now providing luxury self contained accommodation retaining a musical theme.
Each Cottage retains a musical instrument from the original Musical Village.
There is a split system to keep you warm in Winter and cool in Summer.
The kitchen has everything you need including Tea,Coffee,Milk and some basic cooking items.
This is the perfect retreat for couples looking for a romantic getaway....just enjoy each others company !!
The Cottage is cosy,charming,comfortable and very relaxing.
Darnum is a small country farming town set in the picturesque rolling hills of West Gippsland...less than an hours drive to :
Mt Baw Baw for the snow.(Tobogganing,snow boarding,cross country and down hill skiing) a great place to visit all year round.
Inverloch for the Beach.
Walhalla has an historic Tourist Village,well worth a drive.
Mire North is 15 mins drive from the Village Retreat and has a Boutique Brewery where you can sample and purchase their beers.
Mount Worth National Park is also 15 mins away and is very picturesque,a wonderful place for a bush walk or to explore/relax.
Lardner Park is 12 mins away and is Gippsland's premier Exhibition venue with happenings there most weekends.
The Darnum Hotel is walking distance...1 km away...very nice food,a great ambience,open fire and very close !!
Darnum also has a General Store/Tearooms Cafe which serves great coffee and a great place for breakfast in front of the fireplace.
A Post Office and Petrol Station ...all just 1 km away !!
Warragul is 5 mins away and has many top quality Restaurants and Wineries...a variety of places to shop...everything you require, a Hospital and a great Golf course.
Yarragon is 5 mins away in the other direction and has tourist specialty shops and cafes.
Darnum has a bus service which runs into Warragul ( which is 5 mins away) and from Warragul there is a VLine train service.
Darnum is the centre of the West Gippsland cyclists group....a wonderful place to have a bike ride.

If you would prefer a private getaway you are most welcome to check yourselves into the Cottage.
The key can be left in the lockbox and no interaction is necessary if preferred by you.

The Retreat Cottages and Church are each private and separated.
