There is a bed settee which can accommodate an extra 1-2 people if required.
Situated in West Gippsland...The London Cottage was, in its original form,part of the Darnum Musical Village...which was operating for 40 years...the only Musical Village in Australia.
My husband and I have fully renovated the Village,which is now providing luxury self contained accommodation,retaining a musical theme.
Each Cottage retains a musical instrument from the original Musical Village.
There is a split system to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer,electric blankets.
There will be an abundant supply of wood for the pot belly which will be replenished each day.
This is the perfect space for couples looking for a romantic getaway....to just enjoy each others company....or the bed settee can sleep children or extra people.
The kitchen has everything you would need including Tea,Coffee,milk and basic pantry items.
The London Cottage is charming,comfortable and very relaxing.
Darnum is a small country Farming town set in the rolling hills of West Gippsland...less than an hours drive to :
Mt Baw Baw for the snow (Tobogganing,snow boarding,cross country and down hill skiing) a great place to visit all year round.
Inverloch for the Beach.
Walhalla has an Historic Tourist Village,well worth a drive.
Mirboo North is 15 mins drive from The Village Retreat and there is a Boutique Brewery where you can sample and purchase their beers.
Mount Worth National Park is 15 mins away also and is very picturesque,a wonderful place for a bush walk or to explore/relax.
Lardner Park is 12 mins away and is Gippslands premier Exhibition venue with events there most weekends.
The Darnum Hotel is walking distance...1 km away...very nice food,a great ambience and very close !!
Darnum also has a General Store/ Tearooms Cafe which has great coffee and a great place for breakfast in front of the fire.
Also a Post Office and Petrol Station ...all just 1 Km away !!
Warragul is 5 mins away and has many top quality restaurants and Wineries...a variety of places to shop...everything you require...a Hospital and great Golf course.
Yarragon is 5 mins away in the other direction and has tourist specialty shops and many cafes.
Darnum has a bus service which runs into Warragul (which is 5 mins away) and from Warragul there is a VLine train service.
Darnum is the centre of the West Gippsland's cyclists group...a wonderful place to have a bike ride.
I will welcome you and settle you into your Cottage and can answer any questions that you may have.
I will be happy to assist you with ideas and information on places to visit,dining out etc.
If you would prefer a private getaway,you are most welcome to check yourselves into your Cottage.
The key can be left in the lockbox and no interaction is necessary if preferred by you.

The Retreat Cottages and Church are each private and separated .
